Dr. Cecil is a Sports Physical Therapist that specializes in working with young athletes in multiple capacities, including injury prevention, comprehensive rehabilitation, and sports performance. As a Physical Therapist, she has seen what injuries can do to athletes and their families. As a parent of young athletes who compete at the recreational and elite levels, Robin understands the unique demands and requirements of youth sports at all levels. Keeping young athlete’s wellness at the forefront, as they strive to reach their athletic goals is her highest priority.
Education and Training
Robin graduated from Brigham Young University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-physical Therapy. Robin continued her education at Texas Women’s University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1995. She continued her education and received a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2015. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy, and Professional/Collegiate Therapist, Sports Performance Enhancement, and Youth Athlete Special Interest Groups. She also has her CPR/AED certification, is a licensed competitive soccer coach, and TPI trained athletic development junior coach.
Robin resides in Sandy, Utah with her husband Reid and four children who are aspiring young athletes, Emma, Hannah, Truman, and Dani. Robin has participated in sports throughout her life as a three-sport collegiate athlete, a recreational and a high school coach, and a fan of her children as they participate in sport. She enjoys water & snow skiing and other outdoor recreational activities. She also enjoys traveling the world with her family. She believes in providing outdoor recreational opportunities for those with disabilities and has been an integral part of Wasatch Adaptive Sports and the Steve Young Ski Classic for the past 20 years.
